Kathy Forehand teaches Kindergarten at Cornerstone. She is a cum Laude graduate of the University of Georgia. Mrs. Forehand also earned a Master of Arts degree in Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Forehand recently retired from the Gwinnett County School System after 30 years of service. She has been named Outstanding Educator by the Jaycees and was selected as a local school Teacher of the Year. She serves in the Children’s Ministry of Church of the Atonement. |

Deanna Peyer teaches Kindergarten at Cornerstone. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Mrs. Peyer has 13 years of teaching experience in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade in North Carolina and in the Gwinnett County School System in Georgia. Mrs. Peyer is a member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, where she serves in the Preschool Ministry. |

Angie Shutley teaches First Grade at Cornerstone. Ms. Shutley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Furman University and a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. She has 15 years of experience teaching Kindergarten through Second Grade. Ms. Shutley resides in Alpharetta and is a member of North Point Community Church, where she serves in the Resources and Preschool ministries. She also volunteers in the Starting Point ministry, which is an introductory Bible study. |

Allyson Greene teaches First Grade at Cornerstone. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berry College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to Cornerstone, she spent a year at Garden Lakes Elementary in a First Grade classroom. Miss Bennett resides in Peachtree Corners and is a member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church.

Anita Ostrowski teaches second grade at Cornerstone. She earned her Master of Art’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University here in Atlanta. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College. She has seven years of teaching experience in Christian and public education in first through third grade. She has taught in Fulton County as well as in Rochester, New York. Mrs. Ostrowski is a member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, where she serves in the preschool ministry. |

Theresa Tamel, Third Grade Instructor at Cornerstone Christian Academy, has over fourteen years of experience working with Christ-centered schools. Prior to stepping into the classroom, Mrs. Tamel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Lakeland College. While teaching first grade in
Wisconsin, Mrs. Tamel earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology from UW-Milwaukee. Since recently finishing her certificate in Administrative Leadership at Marquette University, her goal is to join the loving team at Cornerstone in facilitating the development of the whole child --academically, spiritually, creatively, and socially. |

Angie Smith teaches 4th grade at Cornerstone. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Smith also earned a Masters degree and an Educational Specialist degree in Middle Grades Education from Brenau University. She taught for 12 years in Gwinnett County Schools teaching 4th and 5th grades and was selected as a local school Teacher of the Year in 2005. She is a member of Northpoint Community Church. |

Katie Trapani joined Cornerstone in 2005 as the Physical Education instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia. She was a Fourth Grade teacher in the Gwinnett County School System for nine years. She has vast experience in teaching and administration of physical education programs, helping plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for all students. Mrs. Trapani is a perennial leader for multiple sports and recreational activities in the community, including involvement in the Norcross Baseball League and the Norcross Youth Football League. She is a member of All Saints Catholic Church. |

Sara Fogle is the middle school math and history teacher. She graduated with a Bachelor Science degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia. She has taught for eight years in both middle school and high school in Georgia and North Carolina. She is a member of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta and is involved with the children’s ministry and adult community groups. Mrs. Fogle also coaches the girls cross country team at CCA. |

Katie Dixon teaches Middle School English and runs the Library. Before coming to Cornerstone, Ms. Dixon spent a year at Washington-Wilkes High School, and she was a director at Camp Glisson, in Dahlonega. Katie graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Science Education degree in English Education. |

Gail Davis is the reading specialist in Second, Third and Fourth Grades at Cornerstone. Ms. Davis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Master of Arts degree from Georgia State University. She has teaching experience in First through Fifth grades and has served as a reading specialist in the Gwinnett County School System for six years. Ms. Davis has been selected as a local school Teacher of the Year. Ms. Davis is a member of Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church and has served in Vacation Bible School at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. |

Terri Childers joined Cornerstone in 2004 to teach technology to all students. She is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. Prior to starting a family, she spent eight years in the corporate arena as both a process engineer and a product development engineer. During those years, she developed corporate training manuals and led customer training. She has participated in community Bible study for the past seven years and served in leadership positions during four of those years. She is a Children’s Discipleship Leader at Perimeter Church. |

Yesenia Lawler joined Cornerstone this year as the Foreign Language instructor. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Dr. Manual Luis Escamilla University in El Salvador and graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Lawler taught in a private high school in El Salvador; then volunteered teaching Spanish to English-speaking students and English to Spanish-speaking students while studying in South Carolina. She most recently served as a long-term substitute Spanish teacher in the high school at Providence Christian Academy. Mrs. Lawler also translates children’s books into Spanish for a local published author. She serves as a Sunday School teacher at Peachtree Corners Church of Christ. |

Deborah Little Key joined Cornerstone in 2006 as the Music and Drama instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Baylor University and a Master of Arts degree in communication from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mrs. Key worked at the Prestigious Actors Theatre of Louisville as an acting apprentice. Following Seminary, Mrs. Key served for 13 years at the Southern Baptist Radio and Television Convention (now part of the North American Mission Board). She was named Vice President of the commission in 1993, only the second woman in the history of the 50-year old Baptist agency to hold that position. While at the commission, Mrs. Key taught at the seminary as an adjunct instructor in speech and drama and served as founder and artistic director for InnerMission, a traveling theatre troupe. She serves in the Music Ministry of Church of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Duluth. |
