About:Laurie Plate is the music teacher at Cornerstone. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Prior to teaching in the classroom, Mrs. Plate was a Board Certified Music Therapist at the Milwaukee County Medical College and Mental Health Center in Milwaukee, WI. After her husband's job transfer to the Atlanta area in 1995, Mrs. Plate began teaching music in a private Christian school in the Alpharetta area. She has also been a private piano teacher for many years. She and her husband Scott have two children, Matt and Rachel. Mrs. Plate is a huge Green Bay Packer and Braves fan, loves to cook and is an avid reader. She attends Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church where she has served on the worship leader team and sings in the choir.
