Deanna Peyer

Deanna Peyer has 30 years of experience in elementary education and has served as Cornerstone Christian Academy’s Lower School Principal since 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master of Arts degree in Education from Walden University.

Before joining Cornerstone in 2005, Mrs. Peyer taught kindergarten through fourth grade in North Carolina and in Gwinnett County Public Schools. During her time at Cornerstone, she has served as a kindergarten teacher and curriculum developer, leading the K–8 faculty through curriculum mapping and supporting the continued development of Cornerstone’s academic programs. She is passionate about supporting the whole child and advocates for mental health education through her service with a foundation focused on advancing mental health initiatives in Georgia.

Mrs. Peyer lives in Duluth with her husband, Brock. They have two children, Palmer '16 and Ross '21. The Peyer family attends North Point Community Church.
